SORALUCE READY TO LEAD the future of machining solutions at EMO 2023
SORALUCE will be showcasing its Leading spirit at EMO 2023, focused on its firm commitment to continue being technological leader, driven by innovation, specialization, growth, sustainability and learning from more than 60 years of experience in the sector.
The machine tool manufacturer will demonstrate its international leadership in milling, boring, multitasking and automated solutions, presenting the New Performance Line, the New Generation of Heads, and also the most competitive technologies and services at EMO 2023 in Hannover, Germany, from 18 to 23 September, in Hall 13, Stand B30.
SORALUCE will share its know-how and present its latest technological developments with a guided tour of its booth, the largest, located in the center of the milling hall. The tour will also include live demonstrations and theme corners, where visitors will be able to interact with the company´s technical experts and discover how innovations can drive the success of their production projects.
Ready to Lead Machining Solutions
Against a backdrop in which industrial sectors require increasingly advanced technology solutions to address their future challenges, SORALUCE has taken another step forward to extend its range of milling, boring, multitasking and automated solutions. The machine tool manufacturer has now added a new line of milling machines to its product portfolio to help furnish a response to challenges in the sector, offering added-value solutions in the most demanding industrial environments.
The new Performance Line provides the highest reliability and precision along with an outstanding flexibility for medium/large workpieces.
A common structure, three different types of architecture and countless solutions to adapt to the needs of each of our customers in the most competitive manner possible.
Each of these families caters for several models and setups (fixed table, rotary table, multitasking), producing machines that can be configured for different work environments. These are 3 ranges sharing the main machine features, such as the column, saddle, ram and heads, built on the principle of modular design, to give us high reliability, easier service and flexibility to devise a solution for the customer.
Performance Line has the same design principles as SORALUCE´s heavy-duty machine range: Soraluce Winning Combination, providing the most rigid and dynamic solution available on the market, with a combination of a cast iron structure, linear guides and active/passive damping technology.
It applies all the experience the manufacturer has gleaned from its larger models, and has chosen the solution to offer more precision and reliability: direct drive inline motor with high power and torque in the ram, equipped with a 32 kW motor capable of reaching rpms up to 8000. The motor is water-cooled to boost thermal stability and secure the best precision machining results.
The EMO trade fair will feature a live demo of the new fixed-table travelling column milling machine SORALUCE SAD60. With a 6000 mm longitudinal traverse, a 1500 mm vertical traverse and a 1200 cross traverse, it has a 6000 x 1000 mm table and a rotary table with diameter 1000 mm. The SAD has a compact design, and is a machining unit with a mechanical head, with high dynamics on all axes and splendid user ergonomics, accessibility and safety. The machine has a number of stations for work in pendulum mode, thereby eliminating idle time. The SAD has full enclosure, with front access to the workpiece and the workpiece at user height, as a totally ergonomic solution. The machine also features SORALUCE´s smart technology systems, such as Accura Heads, DAS™ and Data System.
Ready to Lead Technology
Technology leadership is one of the key components of SORALUCE´s corporate strategy, and is also an indicator of the company´s success. Leadership focusing on higher levels of productivity, better precision, higher efficiency, user-friendliness, ergonomics, safety and profitability, while shortening cycle times, downtime, consumption and emissions ... This is the type of progress that makes sense to SORALUCE.
This is the context in which SORALUCE is presenting its New Generation of Heads. With a new sophisticated design, SORALUCE has upped the performance of its extensive head range, achieving power outputs of up to 60 kW, stepping up rpms to 8000, adding new continuous-rotation 5-axis heads, and the new 5-axis fork heads.
This means that SORALUCE is offering the market more than 300 types of standard and customized heads: an extensive range of universal heads, orthogonal heads, multitasking heads, turning heads, fixed horizontal heads, angular heads and modular quills for milling, boring, turning, grinding, drilling, reaming and tapping operations.
At the EMO event, SORALUCE will be drawing on its technology leadership to demonstrate the extraordinary performance of the DAS™ system (supervision and elimination of chatter during machining operations), and other smart damping solutions such as DWS (elimination of the chatter which usually occurs when flexible workpieces are being machined), maximizing chip removal capacity during machining, with significant improvements to machine operating times and a guarantee of continuous production. Fair-goers can see these technologies for themselves close up at the live demos staged on a number of machines at the stand.
Ready to Lead Digital Services
Competitiveness, efficiency and availability are just a few of the benefits of digitalization in industrial manufacturing processes. And so, in addition to its new features in terms of machinery and technological solutions, Soraluce will also be demonstrating its innovative examples of industrial digitalization, all produced at the Soraluce Software Factory, a system developing Soraluce´s advanced software solutions, the latest technology and digital services.
This is Soraluce´s offer of state-of-the-art Digital Services, based on the company´s integral monitoring platform, which will be available for inspection at the EMO with live demos.
Some of the services that will be demonstrated at the EMO are Autocheck - machine status autocheck with comparisons of major parameters-, JobManager - workpiece traceability management, CNC programs, tools and incidences- or OEEMonitor - calculation of parameters of Availability & Output & Quality, taking account of the machine and other external parameters to measure and optimize machining processes, with shorter idle times, information on production costs etc., in rapid, easy procedures. These SORALUCE services help customers step up the pace of their digital transformation, maximizing their machinery output.
SORALUCE will also be at the EMO in Hannover to present the Smart HMI interface on the new CNC, Heidenhain TNC7, with new functions to boost the efficiency of manufacturing processes, offering better ergonomics, user-friendliness and interactivity. A product of the SORALUCE Software Factory, the Smart HMI features new APPS, now smarter and customizable, giving access to new functions in a single work environment. The new Smart HMI will be on public display on the SORALUCE FP travelling-column milling machine and the SORALUCE SAD fixed-table travelling column milling machine, with live demos at the stand.
