Soraluce installs 820 photovoltaic panels

SORALUCE centres firmly on sustainability throughout the entire value chain for the activation of activities that make it possible to implement the partnership-enterprise project to which it aspires. This is materialised through the Sustainability Strategy which it began to draw up in 2021 as part of DANOBATGROUP, on the basis of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Soraluce has installed 820 photovoltaic panels in the assembly plants of its headquarters and Portal Factory.

Since last November 2022, the 288 photovoltaic panels have been in operation at the Soraluce Portal Factory plant in Bergara, where the assembly of the portal machine and large-sized milling machines is carried out. 100 kWh is generated, which represents 25% of the energy necessary for the operation of the plant.

In December 2022, the installation of 532 photovoltaic panels began in the assembly plants of the Soraluce headquarters in Osintxu, Bergara. 532 plates have been installed, which will generate a power of 200 kWh. The energy that will be generated will account for around 20% of the consumption needs of the Soraluce headquarters; which incorporates 4 production areas with their offices and a central office building.

For the new assembly plant under construction, a facility similar to that of the Soraluce Portal Factory is planned, which will begin to be assembled at the end of February 2023.
