SORALUCE centres firmly on sustainability throughout the entire value chain for the activation of activities that make it possible to implement the partnership-enterprise project to which it aspires. This is materialised through the Sustainability Strategy which it began to draw up in 2021 as part of DANOBATGROUP, on the basis of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Soraluce has installed 1100 photovoltaic panels in the assembly plants of its headquarters and Portal Factory.

Since last November 2022, the 288 photovoltaic panels have been in operation at the Soraluce Portal Factory plant in Bergara, where the assembly of the portal machine and large-sized milling machines is carried out. 100 kWh is generated, which represents 25% of the energy necessary for the operation of the plant.

In the Soraluce headquarters in Osintxu, 532 panels have been installed in a first phase, generating a power of 200 kWh. This energy will account for around 20% of the consumption needs of Soraluce´s headquarters, which incorporates 4 production areas with their offices and a central office building.

With the construction in June of the new assembly plant also located in Osintxu, the number of panels will increase to 1100 units and a total power of 400 kWh.

The three projects represent a total investment of 400,000 € and have a grant of 56,000 € under the INCENTIVE PROGRAM 2, linked to self-consumption and storage, with renewable energy sources, as well as the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
